What is Candor?
Candor is a conversation game designed to spark meaningful discussions and help people connect on a deeper level. Whether you're catching up with old friends, bonding with family, or breaking the ice with new acquaintances, Candor provides thoughtfully crafted questions that go beyond small talk.
Why Play?
- Deepen relationships – Move past surface-level conversation and discover new things about the people you care about.
- Create lasting memories – The best conversations become stories you'll remember and reference for years.
- No preparation needed – Just pick a game type and start playing. Perfect for spontaneous moments.
- Fits any occasion – From cozy family dinners to lively parties, there's a game type for every setting.
Getting Started
1. Choose a game type
Select the game that fits your group: Christmas, Friends, Intimacy, Family, Kids, Work, Party. Each has questions tailored to that setting.
2. Pick a category
Browse the available categories and choose one that feels right for the moment. You can switch categories anytime.
3. Draw a question
Tap the card to reveal a new question. Read it aloud and let the conversation flow naturally. There's no rush.
4. Take turns answering
The person to the right of the reader answers first. Then draw a new question and pass to the next reader, going around the group.
Playing Remotely or in Groups
Candor works beautifully for remote play or larger group settings. Use the Sharebutton to copy the game link and send it to anyone.
Remote calls
Playing over video call? Share the link so everyone sees the same question on their own screen, or have one person share their screen while others follow along.
Big screen display
For parties or family gatherings, open Candor on a TV, projector, or large monitor. One person controls the game from their phone while everyone else enjoys the questions on the big screen.
Sync across devices
When you share a game link, everyone sees the same session. The current question stays in sync, so remote players are always on the same page.
Tips for Great Conversations
- There are no wrong answers. Honesty makes the game meaningful.
- It's okay to skip a question if it doesn't feel right.
- Listen more than you speak. The best moments come from genuine curiosity.
